No. TranscribeFlow is a one-time purchase. You buy the license once ($29) and own it forever, including all future updates. You are only responsible for your own API usage, which is free for most users.

All purchases through the Mac App Store are subject to Apple's refund policies. If you're not satisfied, you can request a refund directly from Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. Most requests are processed within a few days.

What happens when my Deepgram API $200 credit finishes?

We're actively adding more API providers, so you'll be able to select different providers to get generous FREE API keys for personal usage. Additionally, Deepgram's standard rates are extremely affordable (approx. $0.0043/min), so even after the credit expires, personal usage costs are minimal.

It's very simple and takes about 2 minutes. We provide clear, step-by-step guides inside the app. You don't need to be a developer, and you don't even need to enter a credit card for the free tiers of Deepgram and Gemini. Check our How API? pages from the header navigation.

Why do I need my own API keys?

Bringing your own keys (BYOK) means no monthly subscription fees for the app. It also gives you complete control over your data and usage limits. It's the most cost-effective way to use high-quality AI models.

Does it work in every app?

Yes! TranscribeFlow acts like a virtual keyboard. If you can type in an app (Slack, Word, Notion, WhatsApp, Xcode, etc.), you can dictate into it.

Is my voice data private?

Absolutely. Your API keys are stored securely in your macOS Keychain. Your audio is sent directly from your Mac to the API providers (Deepgram/Google). We never see, store, or sell your data.

Does it support languages other than English?

We're currently using the Deepgram API key, which supports over 30 languages including Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, and more. It can even detect the spoken language automatically. In the future, we'll add more providers; some of the providers give support for 125+ languages.

What macOS version do I need?

TranscribeFlow works on macOS 13 (Ventura) and later. It runs natively and is optimized for both Apple Silicon (All M series chips) and Intel Macs.

Is the iPhone, iPad, Windows, and Android versions available?
